Robert C. Rafano
Manager and President

Robert C. Rafano is the manager and president of Rafano & Wood, P.C. Mr. Rafano entered private practice in 1962. He has served as a Middlesex County Assistant Prosecutor and Borough Attorney for the Boroughs of South River and Jamesburg. He is a former Assistant County Council to Middlesex County.

Mr. Rafano was President of the Middlesex County Bar Association and the Middlesex County Bar Foundation. He has served as Chairman of the Middlesex County Fee Dispute Committee and as a member of the Middlesex County Ethics Committee (both appointments by the New Jersey Supreme Court).Mr. Rafano is also a member of the Panel of Arbitrators, American Arbitration Association; and of the Panel of Civil Arbitrators for Mandatory Arbitration Program, Middlesex County. Mr. Rafano also specializes in Civil Litigation, Real Estate, Family Law, Corporate Law, Workers' Compensation, Wills and Estates.

A graduate of Villanova University and Georgetown University Law School, Mr. Rafano is also one of the founders of the South River Historical & Preservation Society.

Christopher R. Wood
Partner

Christopher R. Wood joined Robert C. Rafano in private practice to form Rafano & Wood, P.C. in 1970. Mr. Wood served a Judicial Clerkship with the Honorable David D. Furman and as a Legal Assistant and Assistant County Prosecutor for Middlesex County. Mr. Wood was a member of the Middlesex County Ethics Committee. Mr. Wood served as Municipal Prosecutor in Monroe Township and as the Attorney for the Middlesex Borough Planning Board. He is certified as a Civil Trial Attorney by the New Jersey Supreme Court and specializes in handling Product Liability, Personal Injury and Workers Compensation cases. He has successfully settled or tried Personal Injury cases for over 35 years.

Mr. Wood is a past president of the Middlesex County Trial Lawyers Association, and has also served as Chairman of the Medical-Legal Liaison Committee, Middlesex Bar Association. He is a member of the Civil Panel of Arbitrators for the Court mandated Arbitration Program in Middlesex and Somerset Counties. Mr. Wood was a member and Chairman of the Peapack-Gladstone Planning Board and the Peapack-Gladstone Environmental Commission.

Mr. Wood is a member of the Middlesex County and New Jersey Bar Associations as well as the National and New Jersey Chapters of the American Trial Lawyers Association Mr. Wood is a Graduate of Colby College and earned his law degree from Boston University.

Christopher D. Rafano

Christopher D. Rafano joined the firm of Rafano & Wood, P.C. in 1985. In addition to his private practice, he also served as Municipal Prosecutor for the Borough of Jamesburg and for the Townships of Edison and Woodbridge. Mr. Rafano also specializes in the areas of Civil Litigation, Family Law, Real Estate and Corporate Law.

Mr. Rafano was Councilman in the Borough of South River from 1993-98, and was Council President in 1997. He was elected Freeholder in Middlesex County in 1998, and is currently Chairman of the Committee of Law and Public Safety. As Middlesex County Freeholder, Mr. Rafano is also Liaison to the County Prosecutor's Office and Sheriff's Office, and oversees the Adult Correction Facility, Fire Academy, Emergency Management, Medical Examiner and Youth Services. He is also a member of the Middlesex County Civil Trial Practice Committee, the Middlesex County Bar Association, and the New Jersey Bar Association. Mr. Rafano graduated from Villanova University and received his law degree from The Dickinson School of Law.

Peter Nastasi
Associate Attorney

Peter Nastasi joined Rafano & Wood P.C. in 2001, and also serves as Municipal Prosecutor for the Borough of Jamesburg and the Townships of Edison and Woodbridge.

Mr. Nastasi is a member of the New Jersey Bar Association and the New York Bar Association. He currently serves as Trustee for the Middlesex Municipal Court Practice Section of the New Jersey Bar Association. Mr. Nastasi is involved in case preparation for trial or settlement at Rafano & Wood, P.C.; within his general litigation practice, he specializes in matrimonial and family law, personal injury, collections and municipal court.

Prior to earning his law degree from Rutgers School of Law, Mr. Nastasi worked for Bristol-Myers Squibb as a Territory Business Manager and interned in their Legal Department, and was previously a Financial Planner in the securities industry. Mr.

Nastasi is a graduate of Rutgers University and Rutgers School of Law.
